A Regular Personal Check Up…
A Regular Attitude Check Up
Today’s entry is about the importance of a regular personal attitude check Up.
You could say it’s a little like having a shower. It’s recommended daily, and the same applies to our attitudes.
I won’t go into the details of not showering regularly, as you would be well aware of the negative impact that would have.
Again, I wanted to point a metaphorical resemblance to the issue of checking ourselves daily.
We can all slip and say the wrong thing, act the wrong way, (or more likely React the wrong way), and so on.
To illustrate this point better, I’ll recite a short story.
It was around a year ago that I had awoken from ‘the wrong side of the bed’, and was a little grumpy.
Had I been more disciplined, I would have immediately ‘pulled myself up, and corrected my attitude’ but I had been lazy, and started the day wrongly.
As it turned out, little things progressively happened to me as I was in fact attracting those things to me.
I arrived late at the bus stop, and missed my bus to work.
I was standing too close to the road, as you do when you’re a little anxious, and as it was winter, I was thouroughly soaked by a massive jet of puddle water, as a car drove by.
It is probably funny to read, and imagine this for you, but for me, at the timer, I was attracting all this stuff, as I was in the wrong mindset.
I made the effort, there and then, to reset my attitude, and I started to feel a lot more positive, and looked at the funny side.
OK, so I’m a little wet. It’s only water.
I started to laugh off all these small things, and my day started to improve.
In fact, I deliberately made the effort to be more ‘attractive’ to others, and my outward vibes were beginning to work better for me.
Hence, I found that my attitude was turning things around.
Application to You!
Now, I’m not going to suggest that things will be instantly better if you change your attitude, but I can absolutely guarantee that our thoughts and attitude ultimately do work better.
There are numerous books that can be read on the subject, as well as websites to see, for further information on this.
I have found the Wildly Wealthy Site is an excellent resource.
This site details how our attitudes can work in our favour to gain more material wealth into our lives.
I have also included some reading material from Amazon, as I feel a book a day ( or chapter, or even a few pages), make all the difference.
