How Can I Apply Desire to Become More Abundant in My Life?
I am often asked in my daily dealings with people how I manage to seemingly get so much done, and manage to stay so positive. I think it is a great question, and more so, hope my answer will inspire you to reach for all the possibility that is at your feet. Is it easy? Not necessarily. Is it possible? Absolutely. Can I do It? Definitely. One way to look at this situation is to imagine that you are being held under water, and want to start to breath again.
At first, this experience will be uncomfortable., In time, (not that long actually), it will become a very deep desire to breath, and you will do what ever it takes to get your head above water for the next breath of fresh air. When your desire to succeed in life is like your desire to breath in that situation, you will be at a point where success is assured, and no other option will be deemed acceptable. You may think this example is a little on the extreme side, but if you think about it (I recommend you do), you will appreciate the point I am making here.
Now, applying this to your life and daily experiences, even in small doses at first, is the first step towards reaching the level of success you desire. You need to be really determined in this case, of course, and you will be assured of the results you want. I have found that there are several ways to go about remaining motivated. Some people are motivated away from things, like the thought of being poor. Hence, the very thought of it motivates them to do the things they need to remain wealthy and rich.
Other people are motivated towards things, like nice homes, cars and so on. It does not really matter, so long as you have a motivational factor to work with. Irrespective of your motivations, I find having a goal or achievement chart nearby helps me to remain focused, and determined, particularly when I might otherwise start to think about slacking off, or 'just watching' a show on TV. I use this example as I have been caught out too many times, and now am relatively disciplined. In the old days, I would get ready to watch a movie, and before I knew it, the night had dragged on, and I had watched two or three in a row, and ended up too tired to do what I was going to do. Knowing the traps and pitfalls, can be as important as knowing where you want to go. Reminding yourself is the next step to remain motivated, and I regularly practice discipline. I know it sounds boring, but let's be honest. If this is to work, you need to commit. There is no short cut, and the various people who promise that there is one, at best are misleading you, and at worst, in my humble opinion, are lying to you. Sorry if I am being direct, but I think you will find that is what it takes to move ahead. I can also assure you that these adjustments at first may seem quite conplicated, but become much easier with practice and application. In addition, the results from their use will multiply your enthusiasm to be even more determined. After all, success breeds further success.
