Yoga- a Repreive from Daily Stress
I wanted to run a whole new series of ideas past you today, and the subject is Yoga, and the way we can all benefit from it.
Yoga is very much more than just exercise- it is about a spiritual being, but please note, this is not a religion.
I make a specific point of keeping religion out of just about everything.
Yoga has originated from the Sanskrit language, and is a term to describe the joining the mind and the body.
Yoga’s teaching to achieve this balance between mind and body is to utilise exercise, breathing, and tension relief.
Originaly, yoga was all about keeping yourself in an alert state, whilst remaining very still, during extended meditation.
However, in order to meet today’s lifestyle and metjhodologys, it’s more about achiving a balance between work, family, and peace.
You may be surprised how few people actually even know about the concepts of peace and harmony between the ideas of work and personal life.
Essentially, the fact that you are here, reading this, puts you in the lead of just about everybody, as many people do not even know, that they do not know!
Why Shoud You be Doing Yoga?
Yoga is one of those combined art forms and exercise modes that encompass the best of exercise, tai chi, strength, and endurance, and certainly a good dose of flexibility as well.
However, most importantly, after a session of yoga, instead of feeling very tired and exhausted, (all be it revived), you’ll feel a massive burst of energy, exhiliration, and a sense of aliveness.
You also generally feel fantastic.
This is a direct result of following a process that allows you to connect better with your body, as well as gaining the traditional benefits of traditional exercise.
Who Is Yoga Suitable For?
The short answer is everyone.
Naturally, you will need to taylor your strategy to your experience level.
I wouldn’t take an advanced class of yoga, if you’ve never lifted a pile of paper.
Seriously, yoga can be practiced by anyone, and classes come in a variety of styles, from beginners to advanced.
There is also a system whereby you can download the whole class onto an iPod or similar, personal player, so you do not even need to attend a formal class with a specific group, at a specific time!
The Yoga Download page is here.
