When the Going Gets Tough. The Tough Get Going

I know that you have probably already heard this on more than one occasion, but really, it does make a big difference, and I wanted to make sure that I reminded you about it. It is so important to never allow ourselves to be over awed t the point where we make rash and stupid decisions.

I certainly know about sometimes being faced with an adverse situation, and thinking that's it. Fortunately, I have found, that in my case, at any rate, a walk in the open, fresh air, lets me think more clearly, and reflect on different perspectives. I know it may seem over rated, and old hat, but really, take the time to think carefully about things, and see if you can figure out alternative solutions. It is so easy to get caught, or stuck in a rut of thinking, where we simply can not see the forest for the tress.

I have taken the time to affirm my ability to solve all, and be inspired to come to conclusions that are based on clear thought.

Essentially, what I'm trying to say is that even though some situations may seem hopeless at times, they are often not too bad, when we reflect on a more global scale. Putting it another way, by taking the time to apply affirmation in our lives, we can more easily see the benefits in so many thinsg as well.

This is where I am coming from, and where I'd like to help you get too.

I had a situation arise recently where I felt really concerned, almost cornered. No one can think clearly in that mind frame. Hence, I took the opportunity to share the problem with someone, and then was able to relax more, and ended up coming up with a solution to help resolve the issue.  This is where it all comes down to…

Allow yourself the space to really have faith, and know that you have all you need to get through anything. Just have belief in yourself, and a higher power. There really is something to it all…

The Importance of Putting Our Goals In Perspective and Holding onto Real Vision

08/19/2010 9:04:00 PM

Yes, I know the title is quite a deal, but really, I wanted to ensure that we are really putting all our thoughts and issues into perspective. You know what it's like, when you may at times seem to be overwhelmed with all the events of the day, and any concerns you may have. I think this is where we need to get real focused again, and concentrate on our real pictures or images of the way we want to be and where we want to be.

Let's look at this another way.

How often have you been discouraged when you started something, and then found it was not going as well as you hoped? I certainly know I've been caught out on this one. I think I could say with reasonable accuracy that you have as well, as we all have been caught out from time to time. After all, we are all human. However, I deal with this by writing out my goals, and ensuring that I am very focused, and sure to see them as achievable, and more importantly, as achieved.

I think of a quote I came across to explain this better…

“Not only do affirmations impress the subconscious mind thus producing action in accordance with the Will, but they project outwards from the mind into space, attract forces and help from other sources and bring them to minister and to bless.”
—Henry Thomas Hamblin, Dynamic Thought, 1921

Consider this and think about it…

As a side note, I wanted to let you know about a caricature and artistic site I know of, with works by Murray Smoker. I really enjoyed the pictures.

How to Differentiate Between Learning and Learned – And Improving Your Life by It

07/9/2010 7:20:00 PM

I have come across many people who tell me they are learned, perhaps not so bluntly, but who certainly give that impression in their speeches, and notes, or articles. Whist there is nothing wrong with being learned, I can assure you that my point will become clearer in a minute. I will be the first to tell you that you need to educate yourself, and always be learning more. Let's face it, the world is a constantly changing place, and it's not about keeping up with the Jones', but rather keeping abreast of the way things change, as otherwise, you will simply be left behind.

To explain this a little better, think of some of the jobs or professions that exist today. Some of them did not exist ten years ago. An example could include a pyrolysis engineer, which is an engineer that deals with using vegetation, and transforming old, decaying vegetation into energy. This is just one of countless examples. Now, where am I going with this?

As you would well know, the people that learned something some time ago, and then decided, possibly subconsciously, that they now know what they need, may have stopped learning on an ongoing basis. How many of you had a fellow student in school vowing they would never sit another exam in their lives after they finished school? I always laugh to myself when I think of that scene when I graduated from High School. My point being, that the people who decide they need not learn more, very quickly lose touch with current trends and ideas. In some cases, as the problems worsens, they may reach a point where they simply do not know, that they do not know.

Having considered the above, think now of a person that you know is always wanting to improve their lot in life, and know new things. People who are learners on a continual basis are always on the lookout for new information, and ways to better themselves, and to stay current. The simple fact is that life is always changing, even if you think you don't like change. The only actual constant is change, and accepting it, will not only help you to excel, but make the process easier. Be a current learner, rather than just learned.

I have found that in my daily business affairs, and online marketing, I am applying techniques that are both long term and proven, as well as the newer ones. An example to illustrate this would be the use of social marketing. Sites and systems like twitter did not exist a few years ago, but they are now able to be used as lead generators for my various online endeavours. They can also be used to advertise traditional business, when done the right way. All this involves constant learning and adjustment.

There are methods of thinking to substantially help you focus, and reach the financial success, you would like to see. It is about the way that you think, and train your mind to solve problems, and face challenges. It's also beneficial to ensure you are also as positively self confident as possible, to inspire others too.
