The recent events of Japan's earthquake are devastating and an opportune time for us to reflect and really think about our aims, as well as our immediate safety. In the first instance, I am referring to our immediate safety, and the requirement to look after ourselves in relation to radiation exposure.

Firstly, ensure that you can protect yourself from excessive radiation of the thyroid gland by ensuring that you are adequately covered with Pottasium Iodide. It is available from most chemists and pharmacies or drug stores. It is designed to help you protect yourself from problems with the effects of radiation that is blown by rain and wind over land and sea, to other parts of the world.

To learn more about this, see the Survive Anything Guide Book.

Face Any Personal Challenge With Three Key Questions

Face Any Personal Challenge With Three Key Questions
By Julianna Suranyi

Whenever I find myself facing a personal challenge I always focus on three core questions. I ask myself who I am, what I stand for and how I choose to "do" me (do is active – be is passive). Next time you are faced with a challenge, whether it is a choice you have to make or a job you'd rather not undertake, ask yourself these important questions to determine your best course of action.

Who are you right now?

This is not about who you want to be in the future. It's not what you have stuck on a vision board for the next five years, but who you are right at this moment. Who you are right now will be your foundation for where you can go.

Choose five of your great qualities and tell yourself that no matter how tired, frustrated or overwhelmed you are, you remain, for example, strong, intelligent, thoughtful, caring and vibrant. In asking yourself who you are, be truthful with the answers to the following: a) Do you aim to achieve goals – not dreams? b) Will you grow and develop in the areas that you need to in order to seek more capacity to add value to these goals? c) Will you ask for advice, information or knowledge to assist in this growth? This is important because fear and ignorance are not bliss, they are ego without restraint – and not seeking answers will erode your positive development.

Clarifying who you are will place your personal challenge in the context of how you see it and how it should be assessed – as a problem, an opportunity or a logical next step.

What do you stand for?

Will you action decisions that may or may not be liked, if it means that you will keep your core stability? Will you keep your belief that you were born to be doing exactly what you are doing – even when criticized, condemned and challenged by society? If not, it may be time to reassess what you stand for.

By knowing where you stand you will remain on track to fulfill the goals that you have set and they will remain an anchor when you're faced with any hurdle.

Clarifying what you stand for will give you the strength to determine your course of action for your personal challenge – is it undertaking research to find out more about the situation or making a decision to support or decline a person or offer?

How do you choose to "do" you?

How you choose to "do" you is perhaps the most significant of all decisions in challenging times and in challenging situations.

Identify your strengths, recognize when you are using them and call on them when you are being challenged. Some great strengths that many of us have are directness, warmth, love and humor. How and why do we use them? – With directness we are never misinformed of where we all sit with each other – With warmth we are able to breach the hardest defenses – With love we stay honest to our core beliefs and with people that mean the most to us – With humor we are able to move any ill will aimed at us when under attack

Your strengths may be your ability to see the bigger picture, your organization, your compassion – write them down and they will stay clear when you need to call on them.

Clarifying your strengths will allow you to resolve how you deliver your response to your personal challenge and will determine the ways in which you share your reasons for overcoming your challenge with those around you.

It has never been more important than at this time in our humanity to know who we are, what we stand for and how we choose to "do" us. Never more so than now are we constantly subjected to scaremongering from the media, our wider community and those around us who perhaps do not know who they are, what they stand for and how to "do" them.

By not knowing the answers to these three questions – who you are, what you stand for and how you choose to "do" you – you are vulnerable to being subjected to others' opinions, whims or movements that actually pull you AWAY from where you are meant to be and where you are meant to GO.

Be true to yourself because no tough time, personal challenge or environmental element can ever take your sense of self and humanity away – that is your choice and yours alone to identify, keep and grow when you focus on these core thoughts.

A Personal Challenge For Myself – Part 3

By Frankie Cooper

This was a big day for me when I decided to make a personal challenge for myself on my birthday August 14, 2010 to change. This will not be ordinary but extraordinary because of the effort and will power that it takes to get started continuing through to victory. At first it was not easy because nothing big happen I was still the same person doing the same stuff. But in my mind something happen that day that will be remembered forever. The seed of success was planted, fertilized, and watered to get maximum growth and maximum production over a period of time.

An attitude check is needed on a regular basis to maintain an extremely great functioning mind. If at any time interferences or obstacles block the flow of thought then production is slowed down. An even steady flow is needed to keep things running smoothly. Brain power needs to increase and constantly evolve to continue the learning process.

A broad thinking check is when we take the blinders off so that we can see things as they really are. Do not cover them up, disguise them, or hid them in any way. They need to be immediately dealt with the utmost respect. If we look at what we want to and ignore everything else then we will remain the same. Our purpose should be to improve and get better.

A creative thinking check starts when it is broke. Why would it start after it is broke? The simple fact is that our creativity comes from our current knowledge and the way we use it. Also, it can come from the way we see and use other peoples knowledge. It is a simple process that can be maximize to a complex one. Keeping things in the middle should suffice to keep it in check.

The excuses check comes into play after we start blaming other people for our problems. We need to stop placing blame on others because the problem is you. As soon as we realize where the problem lies then something can be done about it. A solution can be found to get rid of the problem so that it will not reappear. If it does show back up then we will have an immediate response to resolve it.

The responsibility check will help to get the desired results from your actions. Since you are the sole person responsible for your own success then it needs to be kept in check. When you decide that it is okay and nothing is wrong with it watch out trouble is lurking close by. Never and I mean never let this go unchecked. Always maintain it with the strictest and utmost urgency.

As you keep everything in check remember to track them by keeping good records. So that when something is off it can be fixed before it gets out of hand. A person that is a go getter will get better results quicker than others. Begin your checks today and continue them on a regular basis. They are for your own good. Now I will sign off with a challenge for you to be a go getter performing the necessary checks and go right now to start making the necessary changes to get results.

Personal Challenges
By Bryan Appleton

We all have to go through personal challenges from time to time. There really seems to be no exception to this rule. Whether they are financial or family problems or relationship or careers, everyone will experience their own challenge at some point and you really have to be able to overcome these challenges if you want to make sure that you are living your life at the highest level that you can.

How you react to the situations in life that are challenging will have a lot to say about you and your character and whether or not you have what it takes to persevere and weather any storm. And remember that if you want to be able to achieve success in any area of your life, you have to be able to look at these challenges as times where you are able to grow and become stronger and not a time to shrink or run away.

CHALLENGE CAN BE A GOOD THING!

The more we are challenged in our lives, the more we get to learn about ourselves. If you never had to face any kind of situation that tested you, you would never know just where you need to make improvements or where you already are strong enough. This helps to build an all around character and this is what you need if you really want to be able to experience a life that is considered to be a success.

The hard times in our lives also help us to appreciate and show gratitude when things are more easy going, so there is something to be grateful for even if the challenges make us feel the opposite sometimes.

Do You Want To Win The Lottery in Life?- Life Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This

Understanding the Lottery Win Concept…

In Life, we often dream of winning the lottery. However. the above story will clarify that winning that lottery is as much about as winning the ability to manage our mental thoughts. After all, we need to be mentally mature to manage the lottery win. Otherwise, we will suffer greatly…

I received the below email, and was so moved by it, that I have chosen to reproduce it here. The link associating the source is included in the article.

How would you feel if you won the lottery? Most people would feel elated – one of the best days of their life! Why? In truth, nothing has changed. You don't have the money in hand. Nothing has actually changed, all the changes are going to happen tomorrow. Today, right now, your life hasn't altered one iota.

However, right now you're thrilled. Why? The answer is, how you think about tomorrow changes how you feel today. You will be able to pay off your mortgage, retire debts, help the kids buy homes, set up funds for the grandchildren's educations and help all of the organizations that you've always wanted to help in a big way. That means if you knew something really good was going to happen tomorrow, then today would be great.

The one thing that the Almighty doesn't do well is second best. Everyday He gives us what is best for us. Your life is as good as it can possibly get; God can't make it any better. If God could make your life better, He would. The challenges we face in life are what we require; to give us the opportunity to develop our character,to develop spiritually and to come closer to the Almighty.

So, why don't we win the lottery? Because it's not good for us.

Have you ever heard of the "Curse of the Lottery"? It is almost proverbial that if one wins the lottery, he will end up divorced, pursued, sued, sometimes addicted … and eventually broke and broken. Winning has led to the murder of the winner by close relatives who want to inherit the money, the death of children and death of grandchildren. Probably more than one "winner" has said in retrospect, "Had I known what would have happened from winning, I would have torn up the ticket!"

Yet, we all believe it won't happen to us. We will be different. Obviously, God disagrees.

Which life would you rather live: a) "curse of the lottery" or b) life without winning the lottery? (I know what you are thinking, "I want to win the lottery without the curse!")

Let me repeat, God doesn't do second best. Giving you the lottery would be second best, if not worse.

That means you are living the best life you could possibly live; if it could be any better, it would. The only reason you are not jumping with joy on a constant basis, is that you want to believe that having the things you don't have would make your life better.

Join the club! There are approximately 6 billion people on this planet and they all think that there are things in life that would complete their lives. And they are all wrong.

You have everything you need to be as happy as you can possibly be; however, it's easier to blame your misery on assumed lacks than it is to enjoy life.

Nobody is walking around saying: "Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This" or "It couldn't be better." Not Bill Gates, nor Warren Buffet, nor the President, nor anyone. Everyone thinks they are missing something. Money, friends, love, intelligence, luck, health, the list goes on and on.

We all want to believe we are missing something so that we don't have to face the reality that we are really responsible for our own misery. It's very interesting, but this is so much easier to see in other people, and of course they can see it in you.

When you start to think about why you don't have what you want, you can start to realize that what you do have, and similarly, what you don't have, is really good for you.

The trick of life is to want to be the kind of person where winning the lottery, or whatever you want in life would not ruin your life, and hopefully tomorrow that will happen. But at the same time to realize the life you have now, and the one you are going to get tomorrow is the best it could be. "Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This." Say it often and enjoy! (with special thanks to Rabbi Steve Baars, GetBliss.com)

I really hope that you benefit from this article, and remember that you need to grow your mental ability to understand wealth first, before dreaming of the lottery. The irony is that you will not need to win the lottery, as you will have the mental capacity to earn it instead.
