Implentation of Change – A Personal Leadership Challenge
By Billy Arcement

As we move into the New Year, what is it about your life, career and/or personal accomplishments that you want to change in 2010? Don't take this question lightly. It is filled with deep thinking requirements.

Change, just for change sake, is not what this question is about. Rather, it's designed to make you become very introspective and think about what worked for you in 2009 and what didn't work. Below is a list of other questions to help you "dig deeper" as you ponder where you'd like to be at the end of 2010.

1. Is your life as happy as it can or should be? If not, why not?

2. What do you do that you could do every day of your life?

3. Are you happy with your job? I mean really happy!

4. What might you change about the way your approach your work?

5. Do you feel you are using all of your potential and intellectual capabilities?

6. What area of knowledge should you shore up in the coming year that, if mastered, would help you make giant strides?

7. What relationships in your life could be better?

8. What can you do to make them better?

9. Do you tend to blame others when things go wrong or have you been able to accept personal responsibility?

10. Is your income at a level that sustains the lifestyle you'd like to have?

11. What can you do to increase the amount of money you earn?

12. Have you truly mastered the art of fiscal responsibility?

13. Are you debts too high and your income too low?

14. Do you love your work? Is it a pleasure to start each working day? Is it causing stress?

15. What are several ways in which you can retain more of your income?

16. Are you happy to be in the company of the people you call "your friends?" If not, why not? If yes, why yes?

17. How much time do you spend with family each day in meaningful interactions?

18. Do you take breaks during the year to get away from the job?

19. Are you promotable? If not, why not? Is so, why so?

20. What is the number one accomplishment that must be reached by the end of 2010?

Well, did you find these questions challenging enough for you? I don't want to add stress to your life but I do want you to engage in the deepest form of self-evaluation you've ever attempted. We are immune to what is happening economically today and simply surviving is a challenge many of us face. Rapid recovery may be difficult but it is not impossible if one puts the correct plans in place. Understand these plans will be unique to you. But getting to the answers will come more easily if you begin the planning activity with the previous twenty questions. Then, add more questions until you've developed and scripted a workable plan. Get into action with the right mindset and information and 2010 just might be the best year yet.

6. Study the Law of Attraction – Michael Losier's Law of Attraction is a fabulous book that will teach you how to apply the laws of attraction in a practical way.

Personal Challenges
By Bryan Appleton

We all have to go through personal challenges from time to time. There really seems to be no exception to this rule. Whether they are financial or family problems or relationship or careers, everyone will experience their own challenge at some point and you really have to be able to overcome these challenges if you want to make sure that you are living your life at the highest level that you can.

How you react to the situations in life that are challenging will have a lot to say about you and your character and whether or not you have what it takes to persevere and weather any storm. And remember that if you want to be able to achieve success in any area of your life, you have to be able to look at these challenges as times where you are able to grow and become stronger and not a time to shrink or run away.

CHALLENGE CAN BE A GOOD THING!

The more we are challenged in our lives, the more we get to learn about ourselves. If you never had to face any kind of situation that tested you, you would never know just where you need to make improvements or where you already are strong enough. This helps to build an all around character and this is what you need if you really want to be able to experience a life that is considered to be a success.

The hard times in our lives also help us to appreciate and show gratitude when things are more easy going, so there is something to be grateful for even if the challenges make us feel the opposite sometimes.

Do You Want To Win The Lottery in Life?- Life Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This

Understanding the Lottery Win Concept…

In Life, we often dream of winning the lottery. However. the above story will clarify that winning that lottery is as much about as winning the ability to manage our mental thoughts. After all, we need to be mentally mature to manage the lottery win. Otherwise, we will suffer greatly…

I received the below email, and was so moved by it, that I have chosen to reproduce it here. The link associating the source is included in the article.

How would you feel if you won the lottery? Most people would feel elated – one of the best days of their life! Why? In truth, nothing has changed. You don't have the money in hand. Nothing has actually changed, all the changes are going to happen tomorrow. Today, right now, your life hasn't altered one iota.

However, right now you're thrilled. Why? The answer is, how you think about tomorrow changes how you feel today. You will be able to pay off your mortgage, retire debts, help the kids buy homes, set up funds for the grandchildren's educations and help all of the organizations that you've always wanted to help in a big way. That means if you knew something really good was going to happen tomorrow, then today would be great.

The one thing that the Almighty doesn't do well is second best. Everyday He gives us what is best for us. Your life is as good as it can possibly get; God can't make it any better. If God could make your life better, He would. The challenges we face in life are what we require; to give us the opportunity to develop our character,to develop spiritually and to come closer to the Almighty.

So, why don't we win the lottery? Because it's not good for us.

Have you ever heard of the "Curse of the Lottery"? It is almost proverbial that if one wins the lottery, he will end up divorced, pursued, sued, sometimes addicted … and eventually broke and broken. Winning has led to the murder of the winner by close relatives who want to inherit the money, the death of children and death of grandchildren. Probably more than one "winner" has said in retrospect, "Had I known what would have happened from winning, I would have torn up the ticket!"

Yet, we all believe it won't happen to us. We will be different. Obviously, God disagrees.

Which life would you rather live: a) "curse of the lottery" or b) life without winning the lottery? (I know what you are thinking, "I want to win the lottery without the curse!")

Let me repeat, God doesn't do second best. Giving you the lottery would be second best, if not worse.

That means you are living the best life you could possibly live; if it could be any better, it would. The only reason you are not jumping with joy on a constant basis, is that you want to believe that having the things you don't have would make your life better.

Join the club! There are approximately 6 billion people on this planet and they all think that there are things in life that would complete their lives. And they are all wrong.

You have everything you need to be as happy as you can possibly be; however, it's easier to blame your misery on assumed lacks than it is to enjoy life.

Nobody is walking around saying: "Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This" or "It couldn't be better." Not Bill Gates, nor Warren Buffet, nor the President, nor anyone. Everyone thinks they are missing something. Money, friends, love, intelligence, luck, health, the list goes on and on.

We all want to believe we are missing something so that we don't have to face the reality that we are really responsible for our own misery. It's very interesting, but this is so much easier to see in other people, and of course they can see it in you.

When you start to think about why you don't have what you want, you can start to realize that what you do have, and similarly, what you don't have, is really good for you.

The trick of life is to want to be the kind of person where winning the lottery, or whatever you want in life would not ruin your life, and hopefully tomorrow that will happen. But at the same time to realize the life you have now, and the one you are going to get tomorrow is the best it could be. "Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This." Say it often and enjoy! (with special thanks to Rabbi Steve Baars, GetBliss.com)

I really hope that you benefit from this article, and remember that you need to grow your mental ability to understand wealth first, before dreaming of the lottery. The irony is that you will not need to win the lottery, as you will have the mental capacity to earn it instead.
