The Importance of Putting Our Goals In Perspective and Holding onto Real Vision

Yes, I know the title is quite a deal, but really, I wanted to ensure that we are really putting all our thoughts and issues into perspective. You know what it's like, when you may at times seem to be overwhelmed with all the events of the day, and any concerns you may have. I think this is where we need to get real focused again, and concentrate on our real pictures or images of the way we want to be and where we want to be.

Let's look at this another way.

How often have you been discouraged when you started something, and then found it was not going as well as you hoped? I certainly know I've been caught out on this one. I think I could say with reasonable accuracy that you have as well, as we all have been caught out from time to time. After all, we are all human. However, I deal with this by writing out my goals, and ensuring that I am very focused, and sure to see them as achievable, and more importantly, as achieved.

I think of a quote I came across to explain this better…

“Not only do affirmations impress the subconscious mind thus producing action in accordance with the Will, but they project outwards from the mind into space, attract forces and help from other sources and bring them to minister and to bless.”
—Henry Thomas Hamblin, Dynamic Thought, 1921

Consider this and think about it…

As a side note, I wanted to let you know about a caricature and artistic site I know of, with works by Murray Smoker. I really enjoyed the pictures.

This is like self confidence, and is a great question, and one that deserves your full attention to the answer. Let me start by saying first that falling, or experiencing failure does not need to be interpreted as you, yourself being a failure, but rather, as a stepping stone to better things. There have been numerous instances in which I have experienced failure, but subsequently learned from it, and improved my game. (I am not referring to golf, but you could apply it to that as well).

I am not suggesting that you need to rejoice in failure, but rather, that by looking at it the right way, you can turn a disappointment into something that will serve you well for a future occasion. Easy to say, I know, but worth the effort to practice. Let me ask you this, "Have you been disappointed before, because a plan did not work out?" I of course know the answer, but it's worth asking, and thinking about. I am sure that if you are like most people, there would have been disappointments, and you may well have felt really low for a while. I certainly have. However, I have worked hard on developing a thick skin, and an educated method of turning an unpleasant disappointment to my favour. Not always easy, but worth practicing.

An example was a position I was once competing for. I really wanted that particular position, and was quite disappointed when I was not selected. However, the experience taught me a few things that helped me with the next position, and also gave me the opportunity to be available for the better position that was just around the corner.

I know it is easy to say all of this, and quite challenging to still remain positive and 'happy' about an apparent disappointment, but I can assure you, that with time, you will see the results of this point. As an exercise, it can be worth actually writing everything down that you wish for, in terms of goals, and desires, and predicted dates. Now, as a further point, take the time to write the future date, and then state the goal, as if you already have it. I have specifically suggested this technique, as this way, instead of thinking about something that will happen, you are training your subconscious mind to accept and believe that you already have your goal. Now, by following this principle, and saying you have your goals achieved, or better, you will start to see the changes over time, that are positive. In fact, you will find, if you look back over a period of a year, that some goals were not achieved, but that other, better ones materialised. This is part of the way that the universe works. You will more clearly see, in this manner, that some failures actually produced better results a little later, that would not have been possible if you had achieved the first goal. I know this is an issue that some people may have to get their heads around, but my point is that some failures can actually be conduits to better results in time.

There are methods of thinking to substantially help you focus, and reach the financial success, you would like to see. It is about the way that you think, and train your mind to solve problems, and face challenges.

What Do You Really Want in Your Life? Are You Focused On Your Success?

For many people, their initial belief is that they are organised, and are 'on track', and in your case, you may actually be on track. However, I have found that many people who think they are travelling in the right direction, find they can substantially improve their tracking, by understanding the concepts I will mention below.

To suitably understand my point, I ask a number of questions of people, and ask they really sit down, and start writing their desires, no matter how fanciful they may seem. At this point, it is necessary, to simply let your imagination go, and write everything down. Do not make the mistake of pre judging, and eliminating your desires or goals. This is a crucial point to note, as you need to be honest with yourself, and write what you really want.

It is unimportant how you will achieve these goals at this stage, as that is not a necessary ingredient to success, at this point. To understand this point better, you only need to look back in history, at all the great achievements and inventions, and see how many people started, not quite knowing how they would get to their destination, save for the determination to press on. In most cases, the hardest part is to actually start, and once you are on your way, you will find that ideas, and the knowledge you require will come to you. This is not hype, but based on my experience, as well as the teachings of others before me. To fully appreciate this point, it is beneficial to read the Think and Grow Rich Book by Napoleon Hill, as the point of desire is explained very well, in that by deeply desiring a thing, you will be persistent, and determined to break through any obstacles.

When a person gives up, they simply do not desire something very much. It sounds harsh but is true.

Please do not confuse this point with the need to sometimes modify your direction, to achieve your goals, as you will often find that to solve some problems you may encounter on the way, you need to deviate to reach the final destination. This is not the same as giving up at all. To fully understand this point, it is essential to ensure you have laser sharp focus in all you do.

To give you an example of this point, I frequently start my day with a list in my diary of over 15 items to do, but will ensure that when I am doing a particular task, I focus on that task alone, and will only look at the next one, when I have completed the first task. This is imperative, as otherwise, your mind is simply unfocused, and your mental energy is wasted, not to mention a squandering of your time.

To conclude, by being deeply focused on your specific task, after listing them down, you will find your achievements massively increase. This can be best proven after you start your application of this principle, and may I suggest, you start today, and not procrastinate till tomorrow.

I have found the Six Minute Success Method works for me, every time, and I start every day with just six minutes to ensure I am on the right track for the day. It has worked for me, and countless others. You will see results too.

This page is the start of the rest of your life.

I know it is a big statement, but I really want to help you move to the next level here…

You may have heard of the Secret, or You may have missed it, but either way, let’s look at how you can make a difference with it, in your life.

The Secret was a movie made in the early 2000′s, by Rhonda Burns and included highly respected speakers including Bob Proctor.

I have gleaned a great deal of benefit from Bob Proctor’s teachings, including his Success Strategy System Course.

I use his material for a few minutes each day, to ensure that I am regularly on course, and doing the best I can to meet all my goals.

Your Success- in Universal Terms

Now, the Secret DVD which was released around six years ago, was a hit sensation, around the world, many people felt that it simply did not give enough information, and at most, only wet the appetite, with out the complete answer to many people’s questions about life, and the laws of the universe to maximise their fullest potential.

Now, having studied these laws in deeper detail, as well as having applied them to my life, I feel better prepared to write about my experiences, and hope to give you an insight that will be helpful to you in achieving your desires and dreams.

I will be writing progressively on a daily basisi, to keep you updated with ideas and concepts to think about.

Most importantly, it is important that you apply what you learn, for it to make a difference in your life.

I have fallen for that trap wher I attend seminars, buy materials, and do not act on them.

I realized I has to act, to see and appreciate a difference in my life.

Essential Information regarding the Forgotten Laws

Your results in life will depend on your thoughts as well as your actions.

I know that this may seem obvious, but it can be very well worth mentioning, and reminding yourself of this point often.

I Experienced a Surprise Meeting with Exceptional Outcomes

To best illustrate this point, I was asked to attend a meeting regarding a book I was transcribing, and putting online for a friend, and as that meeting closed, one of the participants had asked about my skills and her website creation requirements. From that one meeting, that I was reluctant to go to, but did, came great benefit, in the form of extra commissions for work, as wel as the possibility of helping another organisation solve some of their technical problems.

In my case, the circumstances worked out well, as they wanted someone who could work at short notice, and as I work for myself, that was a perfect arrangement.

It is only a small example, but I think you can see how this can easily make a difference.

To learn more about the 11 Forgotten laws, head over here.

I will write more on this subject tomorrow, as part of an ongoing series of articles.
