There is no doubt that our outer lives are the result of our inner thoughts  and belief systems. I also understand this is probably not news to you. However, what may be news is that we can condition our thought and change our circumstances, no matter where we are in life.

I think that most of you, my readers, know that I like to be reading books and manuals to make sure that I am always giving to my mind, nutrients like a gardener would tend their garden. In a similar way, I am making sure that I am always nourishing my soul and mind and reading daily. It is very valuable and I just this morning, read a book on the Millionaire Mindset. It was not actually new information, but was so well presented that it forced me to think about the subject in a new light.

This is the very point that I want to make, in that we are all able to learn from different perspectives and that is very important indeed. If I can give you just  one tip today, it is to make a point of reading at least one chapter in a book daily. If you are not a voracious reader, this may seem an onerous task, but I think you will find that you will quickly reach this goal and also start to enjoy and look forward to each successive reading session,. I know I certainly do, and even though I read for pleasure and learning, the learning happens almost automatically and the pleasure is just there.

I am so grateful for the love of reading as it has allowed  me to really open my eyes to the wonders of the world. I think it would be unlikely if I would be able to say that I have come as far as I have had I not been a reader of as much material as I do read already.

It is for this very reason that I am hoping to inspire you to read and take up this very important task which I truly wish for you to become a habit.

I have heard it said that for a habit to form, we need to do perform a task repetatively for a period of 21 days. At that point, it is a habit, and if you imagine a typical book having  ten chapters, that is two books read in twenty one days. Imagine the amount of knowledge you will be able to acquire and enact in the period of a year.

I think you get my point here- I genuinely wish for you to manage a successful transition from non reader to reader of you are not reading as much as you should be.

Planning to Win in Our Lives

In today's point, I wanted to briefly remind you that you are in control of your life, and thus, are in the driver's seat. I know this is quite a basic point in it's own right, but occassionaly, we need to remind ourselves that we are going to move  step closer to our goals and desires. Of course, it is important to ensure that we also enjoy the journey. It's not about a hallowed destination, as much as about the journey on the way there as well.

Naturally, the quality of our lives if the result of our decisions, which of course, are based on our thinking methods to arrive at those decisions.

In every case, the way we think, or react to a situation is a direct effect of the way we feel towards the solution, and the outcomes we experience. I am a great believer in seeing the positive side in everything, but know that alone, is no where near enough. I also have th visualize the results I want, and then, think accordingly to achieve the best outcome.

Sometimes, we need to erase our old mental patterns and bring back a clarity to ensure that we are on the right track for success long term.Putting this another way, we may think positively, but if our knowledge source is limited, and we do not have the full resources of knowledge to draw on, we will still fail. Hence, we need to be working towards ongoing personal growth, to allow us to surmount any problems or issues we may encounter on the way. In this way, I am always reading what other successful people have done before me, and taking a little from their experience and melding it into their lives as well. This is the principle of my daily videos of Bob Proctor's Success Principles as well.

As another example, if you are in a loop about money where you always spend as much as you earn, or worse still, more than you earn, thinking positively alone about it will not change the habit or fix the problem. However, study and knowledge, that is then applied to your situation will turn the whole story around for you. This is the point I am making here. Learning from others about money success, (or anything else for that matter), will immediately change everything for you in your life for the better.

It's about taking a leadership role in your life and moving to the next step of the ladder.

If a pattern is not working for you, then go out and get a better or new patter for your self. This is my point for you to consider.

Act on this today and for ever more…

Procrastination and the Law of Attraction
By Janet Grace Ortigas

We are all guilty of procrastination, aren't we? When we are faced with a challenging task, we either get discouraged, demotivated, or uninterested so we run away from it by putting it off. The more demands we get the more we procrastinate. As a result, our task is left undone, unfinished, and we start to become unproductive individuals. In our minds, we think that we can't stop procrastinating because it's something that we have no control over. We sometimes feel that it is something that we can't help or we have become so accustomed to the habit that we don't even realize we're doing it. Procrastination not only delays our tasks, it also affects our lives.

You can overcome procrastination using the principles of the Law of Attraction in attracting good habits by using the power of visualization and affirmation. But first, you have to be aware that you are procrastinating, and you have to realize that you are responsible for your actions. It will only be uncontrollable if you think that it is, so in order to pass the first step, all you need to do is change the way you think because your mind is very powerful in that if you focus on something so intently it will manifest into your reality. Think that you can change this habit and believe that you can.

Second, you need to put your thinking into action. This is the hardest part because you need to have motivation in order to act. If you lack motivation, you will never accomplish the things that need to be done. This is something only you can do. Find out what motivates you, what you want to achieve, and what you want to become. Ponder on these thoughts, and when you have the answer, hold on to it and make that your reason to move forward.

Lastly, reward yourself for doing what you thought was impossible. Look how your life will start to change when you decided to act on things instead of delaying them. Remember the empowered feelings that you felt when you were able to accomplish the tasks because this will help develop your self-confidence, and you will begin to believe that you can do anything and face whatever challenges you will come across without difficulty or hesitation. Are You Achieving All You Want, Or Lagging More and More Behind in Your Life?

I know this is a rhetorical question for most people, as most of us tend to have lists, if we are organised. However, for most of us, they are getting longer and longer, and for the rest of us, we just have a mental to do list that we feel is more and more full.

I certainly can understand the stress, and sense of frustration at this problem, and have spent a considerable while attempting to resolve the issue, in such a way as to streamline my day, or at least, to be more productive and efficient, such that I could finish my day feeling I have accomplished something.

As a self employed business owner, I am even more aware of the need to be as organised as humanly possible, and had to work with systems that either I, or others had created that I knew worked.

Have you ever felt that you are simply doing more and more, but achieving less and less?

If so, I can understand and hope to point you in the direction of some ideas that have worked for others, and than can, in turn work for you. At the end of the day, you need to be prepared to make a conscious change that will take effort, and may even seem to be counterproductive at first. The reason for this is that our subconscious minds are used to doing things a certain way, and any change will at first, be resisted, until we persevere, and form a habit. This can take as much as twenty one days to achieve, but if you are able to look ahead, you will find the results astonishing.

To explain further, let me paint a real picture for you. I came across a small business owner, that like me, did everything herself, and naturally, being a perfectionist, always set up more systems to do better, and as her business grew, so did her workload. This in turn, lead to moire lists, and things to do, that simply reached a point till she collapsed, and ended up in hospital. Can you relate to this being a potential problem in your life?

One way to deal with this problem is work out the priority of your tasks, as this will help you to decide, as a business owner, what tasks are earning you your living. As an example, spending three hours a day reading your emails is not earning you your income. You still need to be reading, but this can be done in a block of time, rather than all day, like I used to do as well. Another example is to look at every task that only you can do, due to a specific skill set, that earn you an income, and what can be outsourced.

Even if you are worried about the expense of outsourcing, let me tell you it need not be any where as expensive as you might think, when you know the right places to go. Much of this work can be outsourced online these days as well.

If you are still resisting some of these ideas, let me ask you, "Can you still achieve an income if you are in hospital, on your back for a month?" Most people will say no, and that is understandable. However, by utilising some proper time management techniques, you are more likely to achieve more in less time, and with less stress. Just by working in blocks, and not flitting from one task to another, and back again, will massively increase your effectiveness.

It is all about focus, and skills that can be learned. To Learn more about time management, and controlling your day, to achieve a higher output, with less stress, click the above link, and watch your results soar, and your stress plummet.

It is Never Too Late

Katharine Hepburn once said, "Life is hard. After all, it kills you." And it can kill you early if you don't figure out how to change. Let me explain …

The expression "turning over a new leaf" refers to turning pages of a book. Just as the plot of a novel changes from page to page, people, too, can change their lives. Indeed they have to if they are to live well.

I enjoy reading about ancient cultures. And it occurs to me that most of the old civilizations are gone. Some have left little behind except ruins and rubble. What happened? Where are the people, their music and ideas? Why are they nothing more today than a collection of stones visited by tourists and curious historians?

The answer, of course, is not the same the world over. But Arnold Toynbee, in his work The Study of History (1987), says that the great lesson of history is this: civilizations that changed when confronted with challenges thrived. Those that did not change died. In other words, when life got hard, it killed off those who didn't make needed changes. The key to survival is often about "change."

And what about us? What about you and me? It's good to accept ourselves as we are, but when an unhealthy attitude or a destructive behavior gets in the way, when we wish we could change something about ourselves, we had better change. People who embrace change thrive; those who resist it die.

If you have been waiting for a sign to make that needed change, this may be it. I am convinced that it is never too late to be the person you might have been. It's never too late to be happy. It's never too late to do something different or to do something better. It's never too late to change a habit. It's never too late to live.

Begin making that necessary change today. Then tomorrow, and every tomorrow thereafter, can truly be different.

I always recommend reading the latest in personal development.
