I always recommend that you make a point of reading regularly, or spending time with inspiring people, if at all possible. In fact, both are even better. I know it is not always easy to spend time with your person of inspiration You may not even have met them, but just reading and knowing about them ,and their feats is a great start.

I personally make a point of attending seminars when I can, including by people like John Demartini and Brendan Nichols. Naturally there are countless numbers of people with much to offer, and it comes down to be inspired and open minded to learn from other successful people. Remember that we deserve to be the best that we can, and combined with the teachings of other successful people, we can achieve all we want and so much more.

It's often like a steam train- I'm serious. Once you get the momentum going, the rest is easy. You really can do all you set your mind to.

You really should make time to go to a seminar if you can, at least once a year. If you can't even getting hold of some personal development seminars on DVD or CD is a great alternative. There really is no reason not to get involved as it were.

Comparing Ourselves To Others- Considerations

I think on reflection, that it is very common or normal for us to compare ourselves to others. However, again, it comes down to what we do with that comparison that matters. I thin you know what I mean.

After all, if we come across someone we are impressed with, we may decide to become more like them, or achieve similar levels of success, as an example. In this case, it is an inspiration and a great way to go. It is also my recommendation. I know it is possible to sometimes consider feeling blue that we do not measure up as best we would like, when compared to other people. Naturally, that is simply not an option that is allowed and we must force ourselves to be disciplined a determined to not fail in this regard. I know we can all fall into this trap and it is one we must guard against.

However, as a corollary, we know that we can use other people to look up to as an inspiration and follow on from that. That is where the Bob Proctor Six Minute System really shines as well.

Turn Your Passion into A Stream of Money

I think it is very important to be doing that which we are passionate about. It is so sad to see and hear of people who are doing jobs they hate, working with people they do not like, and all to earn a living. Certainly, we all need to earn a living, but let it be doing something you enjoy, love, and feel passionate about. At least, that way, your work can become a little more like play, rather than just work!

Think about it.

I am including an email I received from Bob Proctor, from the Six Minute Success Program, as it really resonated with me…

I hope it gives you as much inspiration as it did to me.

One Giant Leap

It was a Monday night in October 2008 when I felt a strange pain inside my chest. My body was telling me something and I needed to listen. For five years, I had been a top dog at a major coaching company. I had a prestigious title, got a ton of recognition, coached incredible people, and was making good money even as the U.S. economy was sliding down the tubes without touching the sides.

The problem was that I no longer felt aligned with the company energetically. Okay, I am being nice. The truth was that the company had dismal direction from its owners and it was extremely painful to work there. This was a pathetic, sad, fear-based environment, and I felt like I had zero integrity staying. All the prestige, recognition, and money may have satisfied my ego, but they meant nothing to my body and soul. That's why I felt like I was manifesting a cancerous tumor.

Though this was the first time my body had reacted so intensely, in my heart I knew I was in a dead-end situation for a few years. Even so, I stayed.

I stayed call after call, hour after hour, day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year even though it didn't feel good at all.

Why did I stay so long in a situation that felt so bad? Why did I stay when I could not change it and saw that it would only get a lot worse? Quite simply, I stayed out of fear. At that time, I did not have a solid backup plan in place. I had recently started my own coaching business "on the side," but it was barely producing any income. As I dreamed more often of being the master of my destiny, my excitement level would rise, but then doubt would kick in to discourage me. "I must be crazy even to consider jumping ship in a bad economy!"

Back and forth I went for months wrestling over the decision, with my ties to money and security winning out over my desire and my self-respect taking a nose dive. I'd take small steps forward, and then halt in my tracks wondering, "How is this going to work?" I had no idea back then how to answer that question.

Still, the moment I felt the awful feeling in my body, I knew what I had to do. My fear was being overridden by my biology. I completed all my coaching calls for the week, then called my employer and respectfully quit. I decided my life was too valuable to do that job anymore. I remember thinking that if I lost every dime I had on pursuing my passion and building my own business it would not matter.

With that, I took a giant leap of faith into an uncharted abyss. And I have to tell you, it was the most amazing thing I ever did! The feeling was exhilarating.

The pain in my body vanished.

Looking back, I realized that by quitting I was simply practicing what I preach. I took the advice I had been giving to my clients and did it. The organization did not feel good and feeling good has got to be a top priority in life and in business. Since I couldn't change the way that company was going to feel, I had to get out.

More importantly, I wanted, no needed, to stretch my wings and see what I could accomplish using the skills and insights I'd been honing in a way that would be a win-win-win-doing what I loved every day, creating financial freedom for myself, and being insanely happy making a difference for other people.

After a well-deserved vacation, I went ahead and created a vision of what I wanted and how I could make the difference that I felt I was here to make. In my heart and gut I knew there was so much more for me to do in life. I had a crazy amount of energy, passion, and love inside me that was ready to explode like a nuclear bomb. I knew my life's purpose was to be of service and that coaching was the vehicle. Fortunately that much had become clear to me at my old J-O-B.

Next, I took action-and lots of it. I immediately improved my website. I created products that could be sold online. I developed alliances and set up joint ventures. I built up my email database. I offered free coaching calls to get new clients. Truthfully, I worked my butt off for several months in a row.

Also, I worked on myself. I exercised intensively, stepped up my nutrition, and worked daily to strengthen my self-confidence. I knew my success was contingent upon both what I was doing and who I was being as a person. I evaluated my past choices to see where my life had turned in a wrong direction, discovering in the process that every job I'd taken in the past was a "safe" one that guaranteed me the lifestyle I wanted, even though the price had been selling my passion short.

Today I feel fortunate that the energy of my former job was so draining that I was forced out of the situation. If the dynamic had been better I probably would not be on the path I am on now. By the time I took my giant leap, I was ready to take control of my life and begin making a huge contribution. I was ready to create a situation in which I would not know the difference between work and play. I was also done making other people wealthy while I put my own dreams on hold. I was no longer concerned about what people might think or say about my choices. I was ready to find real happiness, end toleration, and live life at the highest level possible. I was ready to live the life I wanted and deserved.

For me, passion is a lifestyle. My life is about having balance and earning as much as possible in as little time as possible so I have time to take of myself and to focus on the most important relationships in my life. Nothing makes me happier than creativity. My days include shooting videos for my blog, writing books, and developing content for my next teleseminar. The rest of the time, I am sitting on the beach "working" on my tan while devising the master plan for my business.

Listen, I don't claim to know too much, but I do know one thing: none of us are getting out of this game alive. We are going to die one day. So we really need to ask, when are we going to really live? Why do we stay in situations we don't love?

In my case, I stayed because of fear. But as soon as I made the decision to leap, as soon as I just said, "This is the move I am making," that fear melted away.

I took one giant leap. and the net appeared.

I think it is really important to always be making a very conscious effort to be living as consciously, and abundantly, and the best way I approach this, is to make sure I am reading uplifting material and betterment material as often as possible.

It took me a while to appreciate the reading of good books, but now, I am always with a book in my hand, at least once per day, even for a few minutes.

However, I can highly recommend the Six Minute Success Strategy System, as very effective towards this goal.

Here, I have also listed some important steps to ensuring you are always at your very best…

Important Daily Function Steps…

  • Save your Money.  I say this as your financial independence is a vital aspect of self empowerment. Have you noticed how much better you feel when you have a sum of money in the bank, and more invested, working for you.
  • It allows you to be free, in the sense that you can actually concentrate on other things, that by being done well, with your full heart and attention, mean you can in fact earn even more, and so on.
  • Know Where You’re Going. It is important to clearly define what you would love to do in your life. You do not need to limit your goals, based on your possible unknowing to get to the next level.
  • Simply go with it, and you will do wonders, by moving in the direction you wish to go.
  • Surround Yourself with special and inspirational people.  By so doing, yuou are more likely to be successful, as they are.  It is known in wealth and success circles that you are as abundant, and wealthy as your closes seven friends.
  • It is imperative that you regularly affirm all the every best for yourself.
  • By repeating your affirmations, and expecting all the very best to come to you, you will be more likely to  reach the levels you aspire to. I have also included a link here to the Self Help Store, where I have specifically found discounted books, but the value, and information they provide is above count, and guaranteed to positively impact your life. It is as simple as actually going the extra mile, and ensuring that you actually act on the information you read, and learn. In other words, actually get out there and do it.

You will be glad you did.

How to Maintain the Power of Positive Thinking

12/6/2009 7:42:00 PM

The power of positive thinking can be considered the key to success for just about anything you may be trying to accomplish. More and more people are becoming aware that attitude is everything if you expect to become successful. With a positive attitude you not only increase your own determination but you also decrease your stress levels.

So whether it is personal or professional success that you seek you can see how important a positive attitude can be.

Let’s have a look at 5 different ways you can reinforce a positive mindset when you are striving to accomplish any of your goals.

Remind Yourself of Your ‘Why’

When you are pursuing any objectives that presents occasional ‘challenges or barriers’ you will likely be in need of either constant or periodic encouragement. A great source of this type of inspiration is simply reminding yourself of the benefits you will enjoy once your objectives have been met. By answering your own question as to ‘why am I doing this’ you will find the necessary positive reinforcement to motivate you onward. Do not loose sight of your goals nor the reason as to why you want to reach them.

Record Progress

Progress made indicates you are moving in the desired direction therefore this is again positive reinforcement that your previous efforts have not been in vain. By recording your own progress you can ‘visually’ observe the gains you are making. The closer you get to your ultimate objectives the more positive you will be feeling and the stronger your motivation will be.

Perform Random Acts of Kindness

As you are ‘out and about’ take the opportunity when it is presented to you to assist others by performing simple tasks or gestures. Random acts of kindness like this will make you feel better about yourself and hopefully will encourage others to do the same. This feeling of well-being will give you additional positive energy and in general more optimism about everything.

Take a Break

An occasional break involving something you enjoy keeps you from ‘burning out’ or allowing negative feelings to develop. As the saying goes ‘all work and no play…..’

Give Thanks for What is Good

Focusing on the good in your life sends surges of positive energy through you and also distracts you from dwelling on any negative that can ‘drain’ you. This is something none of us seem to do enough of even though it is an easily available resource that can boost our mood and performance.

The key to success in your personal or professional life lies in the power of positive thinking. Maintaining a mindset like this keeps you more focused and stress free thereby allowing you to better apply yourself to any task. Whether it is personal or professional success you seek a positive attitude will help you maintain the level of confidence that you will need to become successful. When in pursuit of any goals it is important to realize that your attitude is everything insofar as keeping yourself motivated. By using the 5 techniques we discussed above you will be able maintain the proper mindset that will enable you to reach your desired objectives.
