How Can I Change My Life With My Thoughts?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people think so negatively about life, and how easily so many could in fact change their lives for the better.

You may be asking, how is this, or how can I justify saying this? The simple answer is that you simply need to walk out into the street, and start talking to people, or even mingle amongst people you know, and really talk to them.

The good news is that I am going to explain this phenomenon in more detail, and offer a starting solution to this problem. To explain this point another way, I'd like to refer to a quote by Barbara de Angelis- " The more anger towards the past you carry in your heart, the less capable you are of loving in the present". This quote explains in a nut shell, my precise point here, that we need to change our thinking, and emotions, to a positive expectation, and thus, see the magical difference in our lives, and for that matter, those around us.

We can take the opportunity of decision making, and action into our hearts, and consciously decide to make a difference, in both our lives and those around us. I say this, as in most cases, all that is required is for us to decide to act, and to start, any given plan or idea we may have.

This way, we avoid the issues of asking ourselves "what if?" and know we are on a path towards achievement. I am very forceful about this point, as I know myself, that the hardest thing to do is t start a new project. However, once started, it is easier to continue, and in most cases, the way is shown for us, through our actions. I have proven too many times, that of we think we can not, we won't, but equally, by thinking that we can, we will, and more often than not, do better than we had anticipated.

Furthermore, by showing others your efforts, you too, can inspire others as well. I can point to a writer, such as Norman Vincent Peale, who wrote the Art of Living in the late 1930's. He thought his work was not good enough, but his wife rescued it from the garbage bin, and it has influenced the lives of over fifteen million readers to date.

Hence, if you think you can, you can, and likewise, if you think you can't, you are right too. What choice will you make?

I have found the Six Minute Success method works for me, every time, and I start every day with just six minutes to ensure I am on the right track for the day. It has worked for me, and countless others. You will see results too.

In addition, I make sure to always be reading the very best personal development material, as it is the information you absorb that will separate you from the 'average' people, and make you the success, you deserve to be.

There are numerous ways to relax, and develop your mental abilities. One such method os the Silva Method.

Actually Getting The Success Break Throughs You Want

I am talking about a program of mind meditation and development that worls a couple of notches above the standard meditation courses out there.

I am not putting any course down, but rather wanting to discuss the issue that really gets the mind working, and developing further…

You see, there are many great courses out there, but I really want to discuss the benefits of the Silva course, as there is an audio version, the one that I have taken, and used.

It has allowed me to realise there are ways to program the mind to see solutions, and ways to overcome problems, and not be defeated by any thoughts of inadequacy.

Yes, that was a little bit of a mouth full.

Lets see if I can break it down a bit…

Have you ever thought like you were not sure where to go with a problem, or ways to best solve it, and move on.

I understand the way you feel, and more.

I was, as a youngster, very unsure of myself, and shy, not to mention not very confident.

However, I was very fortunate to be shown the path of personal development and learn about the different methods of mind training.

The simple fact is that we can achieve so much, just by putting our minds to it.

You  CAN  Do Anything You Set Your Mind To

I can imagine that occasionally, when you face a new challenge, you may find that you are temporarily defeated, but by programming your mind to think differently, to face challenges head on, you will find that many, before hand, difficult situations become easier.

Acting today will help you achieve more tomorrow….

A Healthy Self Image

A healthy self image will get you far in life. Imagine two people striving to be successful in life and one of them has all the confidence in the world and believes they will be successful, while the other one is the opposite. Their self image is terrible, they do not believe in themselves and they are scared to follow their dreams and avoid all risk taking because they are afraid of failure.

Now which one do you believe is going to have success in life? A healthy self image is a must if you wish to experience any kind of success in life. We all could use some assistance on building our self image more even if we are not a salesman, entrepreneur, etc. With a healthy self image you gain confidence, courage, and you feel great about yourself because you do not care what others think. People nowadays care too much what other people think about them, and it influences how they think about themselves. You must learn to believe that you possess the potential to do anything you desire, however if you do not have a healthy self image it will be difficult and possibly impossible.

So now your question is ok how can I work on myself so that I can have a healthy self image and have the courage to pursue my dreams? Well this is where personal development comes into play, I have learned through my journey that one of the ways to work on yourself is through repetition. You can actually fool your subconscious into believing something you would like it to believe. If you want to make it believe you are wealthy, even if you are not at the present moment; you continue telling yourself that you are wealthy and eventually you will be shown a path that will help you achieve your goal. The same goes for developing a healthy self image. As you continually tell yourself that you have self confidence and courage then eventually the way you feel about yourself will change.

We all developed our picture of ourselves through society and what family told us. Some have been told things that help us achieve success in life. While others have been told things that have hurt us and hinder our success in life. However no matter what you have experience in your childhood, you can work through all the issues.

It does take time and effort on your part but it can be done. Many people refuse to give themselves credit and do not have a healthy self image therefore they fail to attempt certain things in life. For instance let’s take salespeople. You will often hear people say I can not be a salesperson, I do not know how to sell. Well you are not a born salesman, entrepreneur, doctor, dentist, etc… We all develop the confidence and courage to become whatever it is we desire.

So can you! You can be do have anything you desire all you have to do is work on yourself, and personal development will show you how to do that.

Developing the Courage to Lead

What does it take to have courage and emotional strength to lead others?

At its most basic level it takes several necessary ingredients:

1. To be aligned in Personal Integrity.

2. A Vision that emerges out of that place of Integrity.

3. An Awareness of your Duty to fulfill that Vision in order to maintain that Integrity.

4. A Commitment to that Duty.

Well you may be thinking that I’ve got it backwards here, after all doesn’t it take courage to do all of that?

In fact the courage and emotional strength emerge as a result of following the steps above. Let me elaborate.

To have Personal Integrity essentially means aligning yourself in every way with your personal inner truth i.e. that inner emotional wisdom that is your reference point for all the decisions that you make.

You see there must be such a reference point within for you to be able to gauge whether a decision you make is in your best interests or not. Without it you would be totally adrift with no way of knowing whether you were on the right track or not.

If you sit with that inner wisdom in a state of quiet reflection you will begin to recognize which path is the right one for you to follow in any particular endeavor. All other paths will be automatically excluded because they simply will not feel right or resonate with you at a core emotional level.

As you become aware of your path it comes into focus and becomes your Vision. It is what you were always meant to pursue. It has always been within you. When you recognize it you will likely start to feel peaceful, passionate, joyful, focused, clear, a desire to embrace it and unwavering in your desire to achieve it. That is because deep within you will know that this is what will lead to your sense of personal fulfillment.

In addition, as you become aware of it you also begin to recognize that it is in fact your Duty to yourself to pursue it. That is because your entire sense of fulfillment depends on it. In your heart you will know emotionally that there is no other way. This awareness draws you into aligning your life with that Vision in such a powerful way that nothing can move you from it.

Therein lays the Commitment to the Vision. In other words your felt desire or passion for that Vision is where the Commitment will spring from.

As you make this internal alignment you will feel such a surge of inner strength and courage that you will likely feel your heart open up in a way you’ve never experienced before in your life. It will feel so uplifting that you may think that you’ve been lifted right off the ground.

When you find yourself in this state others around you will feel the energy that you radiate in such a way that they will be drawn to it and feel buoyed up by it as well. It will remind them in some way of their own desire for what you are feeling.

In fact it will help them realign with their own inner wisdom and all of that will set off a powerful positive chain reaction that will draw others in as well.

The chain reaction that I’m talking about will in fact have the power to change fundamentally the nature of this reality in ways that are completely in alignment with our hearts’ dreams for it.

Isn’t that what leadership was meant to be about, to help improve the nature of this reality?

Building Courage to Improve Your Personal Life

10/12/2009 11:59:00 PM

Listen to this Post. Powered by iSpeech.org

When you build courage, you start to improve your personal life. Building courage will help you take risks to a brighter future that you ordinarily would not take. When you build courage, you put fear behind you. courage is the process of admitting that you have fears, yet you are willing to find a way to defeat those fears and not allow these fears to take control of you. It is ok to experience your fears at appropriate times. For instance, if a bus is heading in your path, swerving you have a right to fear. There is nothing wrong with healthy fear. The problem is you have to put healthy fear in its place and unhealthy fear out of your life.

Once you build courage, you will learn to self-direct you in life. You will learn to accept punishment and rewards gracefully. A courageous person will often feel motivated to accept blame and responsibility while reviewing their actions and using what they learn to move forward. Courageous people will step to the front, rather than stepping back when opportunities come their way. On the other hand, a courageous person will step back and take a view at his or her mistakes gracefully.

Sometimes the courageous person is spontaneous. It is never good to plan each day, because no one knows what the next day will bring in. Think about it. How many times have you planned something all to see it shatter in your face the next day. For instance, I plan to go to the ballgame tomorrow. Come tomorrow a blizzard, hurricane, tornado, wind storm, or rainstorm could change your mind. You planned, but did you plan for the weather. Did you make a backup plan in case your first plan failed. As you can see, planning is not always in your favor, which is why courageous people are sometimes spontaneous.

A person willing to improve their life will relax. This person will relax even when plans fail. For instance, if it stormed the next day the person will find something else to occupy his or her time and feel just as happy about joining this adventure.

To become successful and improve your life you will need to learn how to trust you. When you trust you, you can trust others as well. Unfortunately, we live in a world where trust is hard to find, yet when you trust you, you can’t blame others when things go wrong.

Improving your life includes using your creative and critical mind. When you can create new ideas, you are off to the road to success. You have many options in this world, it takes you to pull up resources to find those options.

Sometimes in life, we feel uncomfortable. In fact, this is common. Are you willing to accept your discomforts? Perhaps at an interview you feel misplaced. Are you willing to accept this discomfort and find a way to deliver a good speech to impress the interviewer. Alternatively, are you willing to allow negative energies cost you the job.

Do you accept? Do you accept the things you cannot change? Do you accept the things you have control over? Do you accept other people regardless of how these people act? Do you accept you for who you are? Do you accept the changes that life brings your way?

Acceptance is your key to happiness. When you can learn to accept the good with the bad, you can learn how to live happier and improve your personal life. If you cannot accept however, well, reread this article again.
