How Can I Achieve Abundance and Prosperity Over the Long Haul?
By Marty A Cohn

No more effort is required to demand abundance and prosperity when compared to the demands we place on ourselves for an average existence. To explain this further, many people who otherwise live very average and may I say, unsatisfying lives, do so as they have simply not asked for, or actively decided to improve things for themselves. I know that this may seem a controversial statement, but I hope to clarify my thinking for you. Better still, I hope to convince you to see that you absolutely can have all that you want. It's all about having the right mind set and attitude towards your possibilities in your life. Some of you may in fact have genuine obstacles to overcome. These could be personal challenges, like a disability, financial challenge or any other obstacle. History shows that in some of those cases, you may become even more successful than you could ever imagine, based on the fact that you will have had to fight even harder. Does it take effort to succeed? Absolutely. However, in addition to that, you can also be sure that the returns are well worth it. Further more, the difficulty that you may experience at the start gets easier with time and practice.

I have often spent time in thought and pondering my best course of action to achieve all I want. I say this, as we all need to take the time to do this. We are often so busy working at making a living that we can actually forget about taking the time to really plan, set goals, and genuinely decide on what we want. Many of us have what I term 'wishful thinking', but few of us take the time to convert this into real success and results that are visible, tangible and fulfilling.

It really comes down to being so determined, wanting a thing, or situation so much, that your waking hours are overcome with the desire and thought to succeed in your chosen challenge. In fact, if there is no challenge, you may well become bored and lethargic very quickly. Your state of mind must also be willing to achieve your desire. It is very important no remember that you are only ready for something when you believe you can acquire it. This is also like an extension of hope, in that you know you will get there. It encompasses faith and vision as a secondary part of your being.

I have experienced the successes in life from determination, persistence, and having the faith that I will get there. I know too, that you can as well. You just need to be ready mentally for your abundance and success to come to you, by burning with desire and expectation.

There are secrets of thinking to substantially program your results. It is about the way that you think, and train your mind to solve problems, and face challenges. You can, when you think you can.

When the Going Gets Tough. The Tough Get Going

I know that you have probably already heard this on more than one occasion, but really, it does make a big difference, and I wanted to make sure that I reminded you about it. It is so important to never allow ourselves to be over awed t the point where we make rash and stupid decisions.

I certainly know about sometimes being faced with an adverse situation, and thinking that's it. Fortunately, I have found, that in my case, at any rate, a walk in the open, fresh air, lets me think more clearly, and reflect on different perspectives. I know it may seem over rated, and old hat, but really, take the time to think carefully about things, and see if you can figure out alternative solutions. It is so easy to get caught, or stuck in a rut of thinking, where we simply can not see the forest for the tress.

I have taken the time to affirm my ability to solve all, and be inspired to come to conclusions that are based on clear thought.

Essentially, what I'm trying to say is that even though some situations may seem hopeless at times, they are often not too bad, when we reflect on a more global scale. Putting it another way, by taking the time to apply affirmation in our lives, we can more easily see the benefits in so many thinsg as well.

This is where I am coming from, and where I'd like to help you get too.

I had a situation arise recently where I felt really concerned, almost cornered. No one can think clearly in that mind frame. Hence, I took the opportunity to share the problem with someone, and then was able to relax more, and ended up coming up with a solution to help resolve the issue.  This is where it all comes down to…

Allow yourself the space to really have faith, and know that you have all you need to get through anything. Just have belief in yourself, and a higher power. There really is something to it all…

Understanding and Conquering Fear – A Stepped Approach

All of us experience fear from time to time, across a range of different situations in our lives. However, we need to actually start off by taking the time to really sit down, and analyse what we are fearful or scared of.

I say this, because it is not always what we think at first, but rather what we are scared will happen as a result of doing what we think we are scared of.

Yes, this is a mouthful, but understand, I know what I am talking about, as I have overcome numerous fears in my life, and can wholeheartedly understand the symptoms of fear in different people.

Let me give you an example.

Whilst this may seem really funny for many people, for others who fall into the category of being shy, you will no doubt appreciate the full feelings of terror and fear when asking someone of the opposite sex out, particularly, if you are a teenager, or young adult.

Have you ever wondered what the real fear is? I can tell you that it is the fear of rejection. No one likes being rejected, but I fully understand that it is a terrifying experience if you are young and shy.

Anyway, to expand on this further, imagine pacing in front of the phone for an hour or two, then picking it up, starting to dial, and immediately putting it down again. You may even justify your actions by saying to yourself that you can't call now, as you may interrupt dinner, or perhaps, now they are watching their favourite TV soap program, and so on. Essentially, this may go on for several days, and then, you may compound this by writing your questions down, so you do not forget your lines. I know this sounds really ridiculous, but I also know that these are fears that people can go through, because I have been there as a teenager.

However, the good news with fear, is that to get over it, you simply have to do what you are scared of doing.

There are ways around this, and of approaching your fears, in a logical and stepped way, so that you are more likely to not only do what you are scared of, but more importantly, actually get over your handicap. I specifically call fear a handicap, as it can with hold you from enjoying life to the fullest, and that is a shame.

You need to analyse your fears, and genuinely ask yourself what consequences you are scared of. Only then, will you be more likely to get over your fear, by applying a rational worst-case outcome, and then planning on how to deal with it. This is one of only a series of options available to you.

In addition, you may even find that your achievements and potential are seriously limited by not getting out in the world and doing what you on one hand know you can do, but are scared to approach, for fear of failure. You need to ask yourself what is the worst thing that can happen to you if you fail at what you want to do. I addition, many people who have succeeded in life, had many failures on their way to their respective successes.

To learn more about conquering your fear and living the life of your dreams.

In addition, it is als beneficial to understand and control our emotions as well as work on our self confidence development.

Personal Development – Measure of Growth

Personal Development ought to be an ongoing, conscious choice. Sadly, a lot of people drift through life. To such, it would appear that events and circumstances just happens. Pupils, at a young age go to school because the state requires it. Later, such a pupil takes up a job, any job, as long as there is money in it. There is no central aim or goal for such a life to aim at.

Without a central aim, life is taken as it comes, and there can be no personal development. Taking the time to set out goals, and working towards those goals leads to personal development in the areas of our choice. The person who has personal a development plan, chooses a career, reads up on the career, prepares for the career by taking the trainings that are necessary, develops into that career. Such a person has grown in that area and becomes a resource, a force, in the chosen area.

Personal development ought to be wholesome. With all due respect, the rich cannot enjoy the benefits of wealth if there is no good health with it. Giant intellect can be developed, but again, the full benefits of such an intellect, the personal satisfaction it ought to bring, may not be fully realized unless some other things are in place.

The ability to make money can also be developed. It is an aspect of personal development. This ought not to stop, the moment schooling days are over. It ought to continue, so the individual can keep on growing. This growth could be mental, spiritual, material or even physical, as in the case of athletic abilities.

Success seminars, trainings or programs are some of the aid that can help in personal development. These are in place, so as to drive into the mind, personal development strategies or tactics. If a person is not satisfied with a condition in any area, could be financial, intellectual, moral, or material, the thought of who the person can become could be motivation enough for making the changes. As humans, changes are possible if we choose it. It is how we develop.
